'A Common Thread' Artists

There are three artists working together on the Common Thread project.

We are all part of the 154 Collective of Artists, which is currently (until September 2012) exhibiting in the Cooper Gallery in Barnsley.

The three of us have been working together for over ten years, on films, animation, schools projects, photography exhibitions and books, and much much more.

A Common Thread portraits

One of the things we're working on with this project is a series of portraits of residents, traders and users of Spital Hill and the area around it. Richard has been busy photographing people at various events and locations, including Rainbow's End charity shop, and a consultation event on Ellesmere Green a couple of weeks ago.

Here are some sample images, straight portraits first, then on the next post, some of the shots of traders too.



















Some of these portraits were shot down by Vestry Hall as part of the council's consultation on the redevelopment of Ellesmere Green, which is part of this larger piece of work. Here's how my studio looked under the gazebo there:
