Today saw the start of a series of engagement workshops as part of the "A Common Thread Project" being delivered by
154 Collective artists -
Richard Hanson,
Fabric Lenny and
Yvonne Roberts. Through this project we will be engaging with the community in the creation of a commissioned piece of public art to be displayed for up to three years on the 90m long hoardings outside the new Tesco Store at Spital Hill, Sheffield.
After spending some time in Spital Hill we visited Pye Bank Primary School where we spent the rest of the day working with children to explore initial ideas for the commission through photography, drawing and discussion. The children were fantastic, they had lots of ideas to share and they also produced some great drawings.
